Kenny Thomas sang some of Galaxy’s top classic old school jazz tunes. His 1991 debut hit song “Outstanding “ and the rest of his songs from his album, were always playing in the company car (a Nissan Sentra) that I was driving at the time.

Thomas grew up in Stamford Hill in the UK. He was a boxer and a BT technician before starting his singing career. Besides the success of his song “Outstanding” (a cover of a Gap Band song) in 1991, he also had another three singles in the UK charts that year.

“Thinking About Your Love” peaked at number four and stayed on the chart for 13 weeks.

“Best Of You” peaked at number 11 and was in the UK chart for 7 weeks.

His most recent album, released in 2006, called “Crazy Work” also had some great songs. My favourite song from that album is “I Will” which was a cover of Mezzoforte’s “Garden Party.”
