Veteran South African rally ace, Jan Habig, will be competing in Round Ten of the World Rally Championship – the Wales Rally of Great Britain scheduled to run from 13 – 16 September 2012. Habig, who started his rally career back in 1983 as a privateer, will be representing the renowned M-Sport World Rally Team.

“I will be participating in a WRC-spec Ford Fiesta, running in the colours and insignia of my South African sponsor, Basil Read,” Habig told the press. “ I look forward to rallying with the professional M-Sport team, and believe that we will gain a tremendous amount of knowledge. I am confident that we will be in a position to apply this knowledge and further enhance the performance of our SA Ford Fiesta, not only for the remainder of the season, but also for the future,” he added.

Habig will be teaming up with an international navigator whose name will be announced shortly.
