I’ll be honest with you all – the second day of the Cannonball Run Africa was something of a cluster @*^!. Ridiculous clues. Road books filled with spelling mistakes and awful grammar. An unplanned visit to Ga-Rankuwa. It was a recipe for getting lost. Consequently Jesse Adams and I spent most of the afternoon drifting across the bleak Highveld countryside looking for answers that were not there. There was one saving grace, however, and that was getting to drive our Jaguar XKR-S around the high-speed concrete oval at the Gerotek Test Facility. The aim of the exercise was to pass the finish line at exactly 180km/h. How did we do? Not sure – we’ll only find out tomorrow. What we can show you in the meantime is the GoPro video footage taken during our run. Enjoy…
