One of the craziest cars on display at this year’s Frankfurt Motor Show is the Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 Super Trofeo Stradale. Inspired by lessons learnt in the Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo race series and limited to just 150 units, this lightweight supercar shaves 70 kilograms off the standard model thanks to lots and lots of carbon fibre. Equipped with a 570 bhp V10 engine, this Lamborghini’s gravity cheating credentials allow it to hit the 100km/h mark in a mere 3.4 seconds. 200km/h comes up in 10.4 seconds and the car’s maximum speed is a claimed 320km/h. Rolling atop a hardcore, race-bred suspension system and fitted with a remapped version of the firm’s six-speed E-Gear transmission, you can be sure that this rarified Italian will sell out in record time.
