Danica Patrick

After a so-so rookie year in 2010, Danica Patrick has stormed back to form in 2011 by scoring her best NASCAR Nationwide Series finish to date. Starting 22nd on the grid, Patrick put on an absolutely flawless performance at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway today to finally cross the checkered flag in fourth position behind Brad Keselowski, Justin Allgaier and Mark Martin. Clocking in quick and consistent lap times in her GoDaddy.com Chevrolet Impala, not only did Patrick chalk up a career-best result but she also went on to rewrite motor racing’s history books by becoming the highest finishing female at a NASCAR event. The previous highest finishing woman was Sara Christian, who finished fifth back in October 1949 at Heidelberg Speedway.
