The street-going BMW Z4 is already one cool ride but this new Motorsport version takes the pert little roadster to a whole new level of desirability. Built to compete in the FIA GT3 European Championship, International GT Open and the ADAC GT Masters as well as in various 24-hour endurance races around the globe, this highly tuned track machine is fitted with a tweaked 4.0-litre V8 engine taken directly from the M3 that, thanks to a Type-408 ECU and Power400 control unit, thumps out 358-kilowatts worth of power. Ready to race right out of the box, the Z4 GT3 also comes locked and loaded with a six-speed sequential gearbox, competition spec ABS brakes and, for racing in hot climates, an optional air-conditioning system. Costing just over R3-million, the BMW Motorsport Z4 GT3 will be available to a select number of customers from the second quarter of 2010.
