Anyone interested in the history of racing cars should definitely keep their eyes open for a new book called Go Faster. Written by Sven Voelker, a professor at the Karlsruhe University of Arts and Design, it takes an in-depth look at some of the most famous racing car liverys to ever hit the world’s racing tracks. From the iconic Gulf colours of the Le Mans-winning Porsche 917 to the red and white swatches that made the Marlboro McLaren such a household name, Voelker analyzes every brush stroke and finds out what made them so undeniably cool. Check out the video interview above, sourced from Gestalten.tv, to see what else you can find hidden between the book’s covers.
