Voting for the 2010 Wesbank Car of The Year competition has already begun as 30 select members of the South African Guild of Motoring Journalists yesterday selected eight hopeful finalists. Without further ado – and in no particular order – here are the machines set to be battling for supremacy when the competition kicks off at Gerotek in February 2010:

Audi Q5 2.T S-Tronic

Chevrolet Cruze 1.8 LS

VW Golf V1 1.4 TSI 90Kw

Hyundai i20 1.6 GLS

Suzuki Alto 1.0 GLS

Toyota Prius 1.8 ECVT Advanced

Volvo XC60 3.0T Geartronic
