Watch Kwathema’s Magesh Ndaba, or The King of Spin as he like to call himself, give an extreme display of spinning in his BMW 325i. More…Unfortunately, due to a lack of proper marshalled facilities, Ndaba and his ilk have to practice this tyre-smoking sport out on public streets – something which has given the movement a fearsome reputation. Read more about it in today’s motoring section of Sunday Times Lifestyle.
i presonally like what magesh is doing cause it keeps people away from doing wrong things like stealing cars etc.Ever since i was a little boy i was supporting the spinning of these BMW’s and i’m going to buy one and also do what the brother is doing to entertain my community more especially young boys who smoke dagga to stop drugs and support the spinning of cars in their township.
Hi Rodney, glad you like what Magesh is doing. I was very surprised when I met him – he’s a very humble and easy going dude. I definitely think spinning should be encouraged and turned into a legitimate sport.
have you guys heard of the Gauteng Spinning ***?
well this sport is finally in the process of being legalised.we had a big event this past Saturday and it was awsome!!! all the big boys came out to play. And the new guy didnt dissapoint either, the guy spinning the stock nissan 1400 that does everything the guys with the beemers do and more!!!!
Hi Jbi,
I have not heard of Gauteng Spinning – you guys must be new. Do you have any pics of Saturday’s event? I’d really like to post them on my blog.
Thomas
The Association is still new.sorry no pics, i only have a dvd.We have another event coming up on the 13th and 14th of June at Midvaal Raceway in Meyerton. This one promises to be even bigger than before cause its gonna be a competition with big time prizes up for grabs for the best spinners. The Association is all the spinning crews in gauteng that came together to get the guys off the street and onto the track where its legal.im from the Exclusive Crew.
I happen to watch the spinning event that was held recently in Jabulani at Soweto TV. I was impressed because it was done in a proper place designed for that. I really would want to get a schedule of these activities since I am very intersted in watching the sport. I so wish our government can recognise the sport and legalize it by providing necessary resources. Anybody with some information on where the spinning is happening, please assist. I am in Pretoria, but dont mind to drive to anywhere in Gauteng.

salute Magesh, u inja sani. hwever, ur real competition is yet to come.
Is Spinning the same as drifting? I just hope he doesn’t worn out his car due to what he usually does – to spin!
EISH MAGENTS, THAT’S REALLY COOL HEY, GIVE SUM MORE TO DA GUYS & GIRLS MAN!!!!! EISH, HOLA 7!!!!
Transmission… Spinning mainly refers to the Wheels being spun and drifting refers to the tail going wide… but well you cant drift without the wheels spinning, but once they are. you can drift, standstill, donut etc.. check Magesh out..
