Lufthansa is looking for a name for the Airbus A380, a moniker or a nickname that does for the double-decker what the name “Jumbo Jet” did for Boeing’s 747 back in the 60s.
Think up the right name before the March 31 and the airline will give you, and 49 other contenders, a million air miles, which works out at a good few long-haul flights. Plus there’s the chance of getting your name in the history books.
Right now, competition isn’t exactly terrifying. Early offerings include “Huge A380″, “Adler des Himmels” (“Eagle of the Skies”), and “Wings of Haeven”, yes, with “heaven” spelt wrong.
An eagle is possibly the last bird one would think of when looking at the A380, but there you go. If you have a better idea, then click here.
Winners are to be chosen by a Lufthansa jury. The airline’s first A380s will enter service in June.

If they take out a few rows of seats they could call it Mein Kampfy Plane
