Lufthansa is to fly the German football team to South Africa on a special flight – and 150 fans will be able to fly along, assuming they a) have 1165 euros for the ticket and b) win the ticket draw.
The winning fans will be given a “Lufthansa World Cup fan package full of items supporters need to cheer the team on”. Will the package include a secret vuvuzela destroyer, or earplugs, we wonder? Maybe both?
The lucky fans will also be allowed to join the press conference at Frankfurt before the flight departs.
Apparently there’s a now a Lufthansa Facebook page – Lufthansa Fanflug – where fans can enter the draw, as well as pitch to be the teams Fan reporter for the duration of the event. Always assuming, of course, that Germany’s 2010 hopes are not dahsed in the opening rounds …

Booking were made for 2 adults but was rejected by Lufthansa due to their failure to get authorisation from the VISA card. Bookings 2s3c5u & 29ix63 was done seperately on Lufthansa’s request, but the second booking were on a different flight due no seats available.
To rectify the matter Lufthansa’s telephone conversation informed me there were plenty seats avalable on the same flight as mine for my spouse, but it cost me an additional R800-00 to get her on the same flight, why?
Could you refund my additional payment ASAP as I am requesting this for almost a month now.
