Over the last few months I’ve been seeing a trend emerging saying that Exercise Won’t Make You Thin.
Today The New York Times says that “for some time, researchers have been finding that people who exercise don’t necessarily lose weight.’ A study published online in September 2009 in The British Journal of Sports Medicine was the latest to report apparently disappointing slimming results. In the study, 58 obese people completed 12 weeks of supervised aerobic training without changing their diets. The group lost an average of a little more than seven pounds, and many lost barely half that.”

But all three of these articles can simply be countered by saying exercise won’t make you fat.
With all that being said, you could  read The hackers diet , it was written by John Walker, the founder of the software company Autodesk.
You can download the whole book, in true hacker tradition, it’s free.

would disagree with Ms Glass that the underlying causes of obesity can be resolved without surgery for a large majority of the morbidly obese population. These studies have been out since the 1950’s and we continue to discover new “gut” pathways and hormones that are genetically associated with weight gain or loss. You can add weight to a genetically thin person with an extensive calorie boosting regime but as soon as you stop that regime the weight will come off without effort. Likewise, you can take weight off a person with a genetic predisposition to obesity but as soon as you stop that regime (severe calorie restriction, intensive workouts, etc) the weight comes back sometimes exceeding the previous weight. One can control maybe 20-25lbs of weight gain or loss. After that, genetics should be considered. This is why diets of any kind are ineffective long term, and the patient considers it their failure when the diet doesn’t work long term. A great reference to these studies is in a book called “Rethinking Thin” by Gina Kolata, a NY journalist. There are hundreds of others.

In fact I am disagree that weight loss pills do really work in weight loss plan, I still believe that the natural ways to weight loss plan is the most effective and healthy. As Vlad said, exercise is not only for weight loss plan, but it does maintain our health in good way, rather than go for weight loss pills.
