Not only was Kylie spoiled by having a lion cub named after her whilst touring South Africa, but she also got another surprise when she popped into her suite at The Palace, Sun City, in-between performances and game drives.
Fashion designer Gert-Johan Coetzee organised for Sun International management to sneak one of his dresses into her room as a gift.
“The garment that I selected to give her is one that I showed at SA Fashion Week in April 2011,” said Coetzee.
“The dress has a futuristic feel and has a biker-girl look which is really in right now. I really hope that she likes it and that it is small enough because she really tiny.”
Designers take a big chance when gifting a garment to a celebrity as the gesture could not necessarily go in their favour – and even if they do wear it, paparazzi may not be bothered to find out who it is made by – but judging from the style of the dresses that Minogue wears on stage during her concert – I feel that there is a strong chance that she may just wear Coetzee’s garment in the future.
This isn’t the first time that Gert has gifted an international star. When Kim and Khloe Kardashian were in South Africa late last year, he gave them dresses. Khloe sold her’s on ebay and then the third of the Kardasian sisters, Kourtney, wore Kim’s dress to The People’s Choice Awards. Her celebrity gave value to his brand and a few months later reality TV star Kristin Cavallari of “The Hills” fame asked Gert to dress her for her 24th birthday bash.
Apart from dressing and making Bonang Matheba look fabulous, Coetzee is also currently judging the Miss SA competition regional paper entries for the competition.

Armenian beauty Kim Kardashian, 30, confirmed her engagement to her beau of just six months Kris Humphries, 26, on social network Facebook.
And wouldn’t you say YES if you were presented with a $2million, 20.5 carat rock designed by Lorraine Schwartz. Humphries who is a forward for the New Jersey Nets, thanked the jeweller on Facebook for helping to make this dream come true.
Romantic Humphries proposed to Kim in their bedroom on bended knee, with the words “Will you marry me” written in rose petals. Surprised Kim was in shock, as she never imagined the proposal would take place in her home.
Kim, who is planning a wedding ceremony that will be more spectacular than William and Kate royal nuptials, has just arrived in Paris en-route to her engagement celebration destination.
Currently feeling over the moon about the engagement – her elation is being affected by legal action that she is taking over the use of an image of her boobs on the album cover of Terrace Martin & Devi Dev’s The Sex EP.
Warmest wishes form us at The Social to the pair on their engagement – we all look forward to following the drama of their up-coming wedding ceremony, and almost certainly the reality show that Ryan Seacrest is probably drawing up the documentation for as we speak, to share more Kardashian crazy moments of the soon to be married Kim and Kris.

For someone who is considered talentless by critics, Kim Kardashian is doing alot. Reality TV star, fashionista, business woman, published author, and now she’s an artist. The most famous of the Kardashian clan, has just released her debut song Jam (Turn it up), a collaboration with The Dream.
Earlier this week, Kim tweeted her excitement, and nervousness, over the release of the song. Jam was released exclusively on the Ryan Seacrest show yesterday.
Fans can purchase the song at iTunes with proceeds being donated to St. Judes Children’s hospital.
We’ve already seen pictures from when Kim filmed the video for the song – she sports braided hair. Can’t wait to see the video! Is it just me or does she sound a bit like Britney Spears?
Listen to the Jam!

Rivals in Romance contestants
I’m amazed at how many girls want to “Kim Kardashian” their way to the top, and I’m not referring to sex tapes but reality shows. The nature of celebrity is changing thanks to shows that give wannabees their 5 minutes of fame. One such show is Rivals in Romance, a new dating reality show that premiers tonight on M-Net Series.
The show is like “The Bachelor” except there are 2 bachelors and “The Vixens” but less raunchy. It’s presented by Phuthi Khomo and Jonaid Carrera. And this is how it works: each week 16 women will be divided into teams for challenges that will test how far they are willing to go for ‘love’. The winning teams get to go on dates with the 2 bachelors, where they will have an opportunity to try and convince the guys into keeping them in the show.
My team and I were invited to watch a special screening at the oh so plush, Regent Apartment in Sandton, which is where the show was filmed. Watching the show made me wonder about the motives of the contestants. The bachelors are commercial property broker, Jonathan Klopper (36) and marketing executive come Club DJ Paul Phiri (27).
Are both these men genuinely looking for love and if so, haven’t they tried more conventional methods? Some of the ladies are also quite questionable, I start to doubt your motives when you describe yourself as a secretary slash model. We get the feeling that some of the contestants are there for a lot of exposure, a little bit of fun and maybe some romance and that makes for great reality TV.
