Has anyone seen the new KFC ad starring Khanyi Mbau and Kelly Khumalo? Like the previous ad with goalies for rival teams Moeneeb Josephs and Itumeleng Khune, the two are “united” in their love for KFC. Hmmm…
For those who don’t know, Khanyi and Kelly have been sparring in gossip rags for a while now. Kelly even bliksemed Khanyi in a Rosebank salon once. And now, lo and behold, the two are in an advert sharing a new meal that has pap in it (only black girls eat pap, KFC?).
We wonder just how much the two were paid to not only be in the same room together, but to fake a friendly conversation. Imagine how dramatic the shoot must have been – we would have loved to be the gaffer at that filming. Actually, do the two REALLY detest each other or have they just been putting on a show for some paragraphs in a story and insets on a gossip show?
Either way, KFC is cashing in on this – and so are Kelly and Khanyi, although their love/hate relationship is so 2010.
So, KFC, who will star in your next ad? Dineo Ranaka and Nonhle Thema? Wouldn’t THAT be juicy?

According to TMZ Nicki Minaj, whose real name is Onika Tanya Maraj, can be added on the list of females that have beaten by their boyfriends right below Rihanna and Kelly Khumalo.
The gossip site claims that female rapper Nicki Minaj was bashed in the face with a suitcase by her boyfriend Safaree Samuels, who also happens to be her assistant.
TMZ also uploaded a document which they claim to be the authentic police report which was filed. The police report says “[Nicki's] teeth struck the inside of her lower lip, causing the inside of the lower lip to cut and start to bleed”

Nicki Minaj denied the claims. She tweeted:

There’s no set dress code for how an accused should dress for a court appearance/ trial. But a courtroom is a formal environment, where serious life changing decisions are made. Simple and sensible are the words that come to mind when I think of courtroom attire, regardless of whether you’re the accused, a witness or there to offer moral support.
Yesterday Molema “Jub Jub”" Maarohanye and his girlfriend Kelly Khumalo returned to the Protea Magistrates court where Maarohanye and co-accused Themba Tshabalala are facing charges of murder, attempted murder, as well as reckless and negligent driving.
The first time his pop star girlfriend/ baby mama, Kelly Khumalo, attended one of his court hearings, she wore a pair of pants with an over-the-top leather and fur jacket and over-sized shades (which she wore throughout the proceedings).
And yesterday Ms Kumalo was dressed like she was going clubbing. She wore a LBD (little black dress), gold high heel sandals and her signature over sized sunglasses.

I know Jub Jub is not getting judged on the basis of his clothing or his girlfriends for that matter. But I do believe that dressing appropriately indicates that you take the trial seriously and respect the proceedings. I don’t think dressing too casually, expensively, frivolously or in excessively sexy clothing is a good look.
Jub Jub’s lawyer needs to advise Ms Khumalo on what is appropriate. Or maybe Kelly should take a queue from (the late) Anna Nicole Smith, who had a major makeover when she went to court over her late husband’s estate. She wore a conservative black suit and wore her hair straight.
Maybe I’m just too old school…
Beyonce Knowles hinted to MediaTakeOut.com that her rapper hubby, JZ, is her ‘first and only man’. The 29 year old singer claims that she only had one boyfriend before hooking up with JZ, and that relationship never went as far as the bedroom.
The pop star told MediaTakeOut.com: “People would be surprised as to the lack of experiences I’ve had. When I was 12 or 13 I had my first boyfriend, and he was my boyfriend until I was 17. At that age, that was a long time. I’ve always been very loyal and a little more mature”
She further substantiated her statement by saying: “Though I was too young for it to really be a boyfriend – we didn’t live together, we didn’t, you know . . . That was my only experience with a guy, and since then I’ve only had one other boyfriend in my life – Jay.”
Love her or hate her, I doubt you were wondering whether or not she was a virgin until she met her husband. But do you believe her or do you think she’s pulling a ‘Kelly Khumalo’?
