US rapper Pitbull is coming to South Africa this Easter weekend.
Pitbull is performing at Emperor’s Palace, Johannesburg on Friday, at the Wave House in Durban on Saturday and at the CTICC in Cape Town on Sunday.
To get you in the mood for this weekend’s performances, here’s one of Pitbull’s greatest hits.
The 12th annual Cape Town International Jazz Festival is in full swing after the community concert took place on Greenmarket Square.
Local and international artists took to the stage to give people not attending the festival this weekend, a taste of some of the acts who will perform.
Thousands of people packed the square, with many more standing on balconies as Cape Town based band, Tribe of Benjamin and another local favourite, the Gang of Instrumental and the Cape Town Tribute Band played their familiar tunes.
Hanjin, a jazz singer from Hong Kong is such a charmer, he had the women going crazy and screaming for more as he belted out some favourite tunes, with ‘live soulful house’ band (this is how they describe their sound) Tortured Soul leaving the crowd asking for more.
If you’re Joburg-based and missing out on Tortured Soul, fear not. They’ll be performing in the City of Gold on Thursday, 31 March.
Meanwhile, here’s snippets of the songs that were performed.

The couple who started dating in 2009, were engaged at the Rambagh Palace in Jaipur, India in 2010. Later that year, they welcomed a baby girl, Gia.
Sending out best wishes to you and Nicky, Lee-Ann!
Yes, it’s true. Bone Thugs ‘n Harmony are on their way to South Africa!
The Grammy Award winning group will perform in Cape Town on 30 and 31 March and on 2 April according to Computicket’s website.
No word yet on performances elsewhere or who their opening act will be.
Even though they released an album in 2010, Uni5: The World’s Enemy, I must admit I haven’t heard anything from them in years!
This is my favourite track of the group.

Even though we love to complain about how predictable and boring soapies are, for some reason we just can’t stop watching them and always want to see what the characters are up to.
Well, rumour has it that three stars of the long-running American soap the Bold and the Beautiful are heading our way in the next few days for a meet and greet with the fans.
Soapie fans will get to meet the people behind Steffy Forrester, Owen Knight (also on our screens as Shawn Brady in Days of our Lives) and Nick Marone.
You can head down to Eastgate shopping center in Johannesburg, Maponya Mall in Soweto, Canal Walk in Cape Town or the Pavilion in Durban to get their autograph.

Denzel Washington in Cape Town. PICTURE: 2OceansVibe
It looks like the party was in Cape Town on Thursday, not just for the politicians who paraded at parliament but for international stars as well. Oscar award winning actor, Denzel Washington was spotted outside the Sugarhut Club in Cape Town. And we briefly spotted him at the lobby of the One and Only in the V&A Waterfront.
It is reported that he is in the country to film a movie with Ryan Renolds (Scarlett Johansson’s ex), called Safe House.
The Mother City has a reputation for featuring in Hollywood movies. Last year Halle Berry and Olivier Martinez were in town to film Dark Tide.
Ryan hasn’t been spotted yet but he’s been in the Cape since February 2. He and Denzel will be shooting at a plush 5 star hotel in the Cape Peninsula.Filmcontact.com also reported that Oliver Hagan, a Sea Point resident tweeted that the film’s opening scenes will be shot at his former flat.
