Beyonce Knowles hinted to MediaTakeOut.com that her rapper hubby, JZ, is her ‘first and only man’. The 29 year old singer claims that she only had one boyfriend before hooking up with JZ, and that relationship never went as far as the bedroom.
The pop star told MediaTakeOut.com: “People would be surprised as to the lack of experiences I’ve had. When I was 12 or 13 I had my first boyfriend, and he was my boyfriend until I was 17. At that age, that was a long time. I’ve always been very loyal and a little more mature”
She further substantiated her statement by saying: “Though I was too young for it to really be a boyfriend – we didn’t live together, we didn’t, you know . . . That was my only experience with a guy, and since then I’ve only had one other boyfriend in my life – Jay.”
Love her or hate her, I doubt you were wondering whether or not she was a virgin until she met her husband. But do you believe her or do you think she’s pulling a ‘Kelly Khumalo’?

Last week, talk show queen Oprah Winfrey said she will reveal a family secret on her show – a secret so big, it shook her “to the core”.
People started coming up with their own suggestions as to what this secret could be – the only hint, it would be a reunion of some sort.
Well yesterday, Oprah broke the news – she has a half-sister!
Given up for adoption 47 years ago, Oprah found out in November last year, that Patricia Lloyd is her younger half-sister.
Patricia was given up by Winfrey’s mother at birth – a pregnancy the nine-year-old Oprah was not aware of.
Most party starters will be at the J & B Met but the Cape Town social calendar already kicked off for those who scored an invite to the L’Ormarins Queens Plate in early January. The elite event celebrated its 150th year in style. Thoroughbreds pranced on Kenilworth Racecourse while celebs sashayed on the grass in blue and white garb. Some of our stars looked gorgeous and the rest, well, you can decide.

Khabonina at her Birthday Bash Show
As you may or may not know, or simply don’t care, Khabonina Qubeka had 2 parties to mark her 30th birthday, one at the Bank in Rosebank and another at Ekhaya Lounge in Pretoria. As someone who struggles with FMS (Fear of Missing Sh*t) I’m actually content with the fact that I didn’t go to any of them. If these pictures of her bash at the Bank are anything to go by, the party wasn’t what it was hyped up to be. Maybe one party would’ve been better than two? It’s still Jan-u-worry after all.
P.S. The theme for the party was “Fierce and Fabulous in Red” so it looked like Valentines Day came early

Rivals in Romance contestants
I’m amazed at how many girls want to “Kim Kardashian” their way to the top, and I’m not referring to sex tapes but reality shows. The nature of celebrity is changing thanks to shows that give wannabees their 5 minutes of fame. One such show is Rivals in Romance, a new dating reality show that premiers tonight on M-Net Series.
The show is like “The Bachelor” except there are 2 bachelors and “The Vixens” but less raunchy. It’s presented by Phuthi Khomo and Jonaid Carrera. And this is how it works: each week 16 women will be divided into teams for challenges that will test how far they are willing to go for ‘love’. The winning teams get to go on dates with the 2 bachelors, where they will have an opportunity to try and convince the guys into keeping them in the show.
My team and I were invited to watch a special screening at the oh so plush, Regent Apartment in Sandton, which is where the show was filmed. Watching the show made me wonder about the motives of the contestants. The bachelors are commercial property broker, Jonathan Klopper (36) and marketing executive come Club DJ Paul Phiri (27).
Are both these men genuinely looking for love and if so, haven’t they tried more conventional methods? Some of the ladies are also quite questionable, I start to doubt your motives when you describe yourself as a secretary slash model. We get the feeling that some of the contestants are there for a lot of exposure, a little bit of fun and maybe some romance and that makes for great reality TV.

The who’s who of South African fashion attended the launch of Joburg Fashion Week at Randlords last night. The venue was a perfect fit to start the fashion calendar with its amazing 360 degree views of the city of gold.

Kourtney Kardashian at the People's Choice Awards and Kristin Cavallari at her 24th birthday party
On their trip to SA late last year, reality TV sister’s Kim and Khloe Kardashian received dresses from local designer Gert-Johann Coetzee as gifts. Then in the first week of this year the third of the Kardasian sisters, Kourtney, wore one of the dresses to The People’s Choice Awards. The embellished strapless dress which was initially designed for Kim was a red carpet hit.
Now it seems as if Gert is fast becoming the dressmaker to the stars, reality stars that is. Hollywood celebutante, Kristin Cavallari of “The Hills” fame was spotted wearing a sequined Gert- Johann Coetzee number at her 24th birthday bash in Las Vegas on Saturday. Word is that Kristin’s management sent Gert an email requesting him to design her birthday dress.
