Cover Boy Pattinson

By Aspasia Karras | 13 November 2009

Ah the delights of RPatz – captured by Bruce Weber for Vanity Fair. I will not question it I will just go with the eye candy. What I do find fascinating however is whether Patzy is the turning point for magazine cover theories. There was a time when magazine common sense dictated that you would never sell copies if you had a fellow draped all over the front. But perhaps the presence of the Vampire on the December cover of the Vanity Fair, looking suitably disheveled in a messy bed, will buck this assumption.

Ah – R Patz and Kirsten

By Aspasia Karras | 4 November 2009

r patz
Sitting on a bike.
I would continue to compose further lines for my pathetic ditty but let’s just say that I am already feeling quite juvenile enough.
So here is the lovely New Moon couple looking all loved up and revving to go in the Harper’s cover shoot.
Let me also say this, my friend Duncan aka Gallo boy knowing my weakness for a certain vampire has supplied me with the soundtrack to New Moon. It’s all getting rather blush inducing.

Vampires vs Zombies

By Aspasia Karras | 13 October 2009

No doubt about which side of this monster debate I fall on. R Patz is always my choice when it comes to the undead, but Venetia Thompson from the Daily Beast is batting for the other team. Can’t account for one’s taste in sexy beasts I suppose.

New Moon Couples

By Aspasia Karras | 6 October 2009

I had to laugh at my latent juvenile instinct which is flourishing by the light of the new moon. ( If I don’t laugh I will cry at the unexpected demise of my maturity)
Inexplicably I found myself taking the terribly serious and life altering Vanity Fair Twilight Watch Poll Who is your favorite New Moon couple. No prizes for guessing correctly..

I am concerned – very concerned, but still cannot wait to watch the sequel.

Objectifying the male

By Aspasia Karras | 2 June 2009

Not me – I would never do that – but Vanity Fair has no such qualms on the gender politics front. They are following up their world’s most beautiful woman poll – apparently everyone unanimously agreed on Angie – with the crucial question “Who is the most handsome man in the world?”
I really love that Vanity Fair operates on this level, I was feeling so guilty about my own misguided teenage lapses, now I can just give in to all of them. So without any further ado I am weighing right in there with my vote, yes, yes I know it comes as no surprise – but mine goes to Robert Pattinson.

Here he is at the MTV movie awards leaning in for a reprisal of his vampiric kissing technique. But fair is fair, so I just want Robert to know that he can objectify me any time.

Birthday boy Robert Pattinson

By Aspasia Karras | 14 May 2009

Apparently I missed this boys birthday yesterday – aaah – happy birthday young man. I am shocked that Zach Ephron is on Time magazine’s top 100 most influential people in the world list thing – What are they thinking when Rob is batting in the same market? Here is the link to Stella McCartney’s entry on the list, written by BFF Gwyneth Paltrow … tres sweet in a nuaseating way!

Smelly vampire Robert Pattinson comes clean

By Aspasia Karras | 31 March 2009

robert_pattinson-12200.jpg
So it was bound to happen that someone would cast smelly aspersions the way of Robert Pattinson. He has been known to manifest in slightly disheveled states (and indulge in bouts of ill advised hair scratching) which could lead the casual observer to argue that he had not had a run in with his shower for longer than was socially acceptable. But I dare say this is a horrible poo slinging attempt at curbing his frenetic fan club’s enthusiasm. Since then Pattinson has come clean - and asserted that he is very much in favor of judicious applications of soap and water.
Still if he in fact does have a proclivity for BO, he is not alone, several famous types before him have had an interest in the smellier aspects of the erotic. Most notably one Napoleon Bonaparte who quite liked the Empress to emulate the great unwashed before his forays into the imperial bed.

I regret to announce that I am henceforth forced to utterly renounce my subcriptions to Vogue, Vanity Fair and The Atlantic. My commitment to GQ’s editorial policies is absolute.

Oscars 2009 : Best Accessory – Gabriel Aubrey

By Aspasia Karras | 23 February 2009

I loved Halle Berry’s accessory – the delightful looking Canadian model Gabriel Aubrey. Where can I get one of those?
Speaking of must – have accessories, I cannot help but stress that Robert Pattinson cleans up pretty well on the red carpet too…

One reason to watch the Oscars:Robert Pattinson

By Aspasia Karras | 20 February 2009

robert-pattison.jpg
Yes, yes this is bordering on virtual stalking but bear with me, its hopefully just a passing fancy. Anyway here is one good reason to watch the Oscars despite the onset of extreme boredom with the entire production – Mr Pattinson will be presenting an award so I will grin and bear the horrid ballgowns that are sure to be infesting the red carpet by the billions and wait for Vampire boy to make his presence felt.
