No seriously this is about the third article I have read that chronicles this dastardly outcome – just when I had mastered the 3 km run ( you must know what kind of mastery this takes – zen and the art of breaking through extreme laziness barriers). The researchers go and show that I would be doing better if I sat on the couch and watched Oprah. There is a reason Madonna has never seen a slice of pizza and it’s not just her fear of lactating animals and their by – products. Back to bed rest and a liquid diet for me then.

I would call this a real publicity coup for the new D&G publicity campaign- what with Jesus making a guest appearance front and left in his boxing shorts no less. Sign me up for the second coming too if its packaged like this. Oh and spot Eva Herzigova in the middle distance. Apparently Madge is also set to receive baby Mercy any time now- two of the the three judges have relented – perhaps they too saw the light

Madge and Gwynnie discussing the finer points of the cinematography .
They joined Valentino, for a post flick dinner party to mark the release of the Matt Tyrnauer’s documentary “Valentino: The Last Emperor” – The Village Voice reviewer astounded me with this perceptive take on the permatanned Italian’s bid for cinematic immortality: “Its stylish but shallow”. I was expecting a deeply moving analysis of the sartorial question from a neo Marxist position at the very least.

Speaking of Versace, my fellow blogger Minor Matters just blogged this very amusing diatribe pitching Madonna versus Britney in n +1
“When I see pictures of Britney padding about parking lots in Uggs, Madonna starts to seem like some malevolent, mantilla-wearing intercontinental sorceress out of Henry James. Britney is a hot dog—thick, pink, synthetic, inert……Britney is confused, but I don’t feel sorry for her. Gianni must be turning in his grave but he would do better to turn to Jesus like the malevolant Madonna.

BTW The image of the Madonna and Jesus is from the W magazine shoot where she first found him – I could have sworn she practiced a different religion.
Whilst Jerry Hall is happy to recline with Baptiste Giabiconi for Karl Lagerfeld it’s not a situation she would want to replicate outside the realms of a Chanel accessories collection advertisment campaign. It seems that Jerry has not found Jesus. Unlike Madge, although I would argue that Baptiste could convert anyone. Apparently the shoot is inspired by Cheri, the romantic novel by Colette, which tells the tale of a prostitute of a certain age who is pursued by a young man who is in madly in love with her.
