Marc Jacobs’s Resort 2013 collection is filled with pretty dresses that remind of me of my grandmother’s wardrobe. No, honestly! Dot prints, rosy pink and bright florals- my gran did it. Actually, granny wardrobes are just the biznis! When I ran into Refiloe (who writes for The Times and blogs on The Social) the other day she was wearing a black blouse with a sequin-studded collar, placket and cuff. The blouse belonged to her grandmother and, as Refiloe tells me, has been the subject of her sartorial envy for years. It seems ‘youthful playfulness’ may have just gone back a few generations to teach us a lesson or two about what the ‘f’ in fashion stands for- FUN!
Anyway. Here are some shots of the oh-so-gorgeous Marc Jacobs 2013 resort collection.
