Angelina Jolie is the latest star to be featured in luxury brand Louis Vuitton’s ‘Core Values’ campaign. Shot by legendary photographer Annie Liebovitz, Jolie looks at peace reclining on a wooden boat in Cambodia, the country she adopted her son Maddox from after filming Tomb Raider there in 2000.
Amid rumors that Jolie was paid $10 million for the job, The Telegraph reports that the true sum has not been disclosed, and that the star would donate a significant amount to charity.
Previous faces of the ‘Core Values’ campaign include Bono and his wife Ali Hewson, Sean Connery, Keith Richards and Sofia Coppola alongside her father Francis Ford Coppola. The campaign featuring Jolie will run for 18 months and is set to include a video interview that will be released later this month.
Annie has captured nature at its best and God’s given beauty at her best in Angelina.
jaw drops* Wow. I’m not an Angelina Jolie fan but I have to admit, this is one of the best ads I’ve seen in a long time. She looks stunning. They’ve done good!
Wow! I love the picturesque background and Angie is more beautiful than any model out there. Very creative and tastefully done. Love it! Can’t wait to see the rest of the other pictures.
OMG.only ANGELINA JOLIE can look this stunning barefoot , ordinary clothes and no make up.wow, i really love this photo shoot.angie is setting a trend in making this kind of photo shoot.expect others to follow but they will not look this good. this woman is a goddess.the camera really loves her.
Cannot get over how beautiful Angelina looks in this photo. Everything appears to be au natural. And Angelina wearing her own clothes and carrying her own beautiful LV bag. This is incredible. I don’t think a staged photo could look this good.
Beautiful job Angelina and well done. LV should be mighty pleased with the results. I hope LV does re-issue Angie’s beautiful bag. It is gorgeous and looks even better as it ages.
.
LV says Angie donated a good portion of her fee to her charity. This couple is always thinking of how they can help others. They are simply amazing.

God bless Brad and Angelina for their continued generosity to help so many in need. Let the money keep rolling into the JP Foundation like waves of water coming to shore continuously, never ending. The JPs know how to share their wealth. Let their coffers never run out of money and their love for each other keep growing stronger and stronger and unbreakable every minute of every day.
Love this couple.
Although I LOVE Angelina Jolie, and am a huge fan, I must say (and will probably be the only person who has said it) that I do not like this photo. Yes, Angelina Jolie looks absolutely stunning (as she always does), but the object of the photo is to “sell” the purse, and this photo has not done that. If it hadn’t been for the fact that the title of this article pointed out that this was a Louis Vuitton photo she was posing for, I would have never noticed the purse without looking harder. At first glance, I notice her, and even after a couple looks, the purse seems to be somewhat overshadowed by Angelina Jolie – it almost slinks off in the distance. The photographer did a bad job. Tyra Banks always says that you need to draw attention to the item you are trying to sell in the photo, and this picture does not do that.
Picture was perfect, but most of us attracted to Ms. Jolie beautiful shot. It just right to see the bag in her shoulder side, since its not proper to place on front of her. If your intention is just the product, you don’t need a model. Just get a catalog. There are different method of advertising. This people are professional knows what they are doing. Love their work of art.
You can’t keep a good humanitarian down. While Angelina Jolie has been back at work in her day job — the movies — in the last few weeks, with Kung-Fu Panda 2 scoring at the box office and confirmation that she’s taking on the role of Evelyn Salt again in the action-movie sequel, she hasn’t let her dedication to charity work fall by the wayside. And this time, like the superstar that she is, she’s combined it with fashion, appearing in a campaign for French luxury brand Louis Vuitton.
Jolie follows in the footsteps of U2′s Bono, Catherine Deneuve, Sean Connery, Andre Agassi and Steffi Graf, Keith Richards, Sofia and Francis Ford Coppola, Mikhail Baryshnikov and Mikhail Gorbachev in appearing in LV’s Core Values campaign, which emphasises the company’s humanitarian work around the world. Renowned celebrity photographer Annie Leibovitz travelled with Jolie to Cambodia for the shoot, which sees Jolie sitting in a wooden boat in a lake surrounded by water lilies.
She’s apparently not wearing any make-up, the travel khakis are her own — as is the Louis Vuitton Alto holdall, a piece which is no longer in production but which LV says the actress has owned for several years. They are considering re-issuing it. It’s shot in the Siam Reap province, where her adopted son Maddox was born, and also where a 12th-century religious site is now popularly referred to as the Angelina Jolie Temple.
So what is it advertising, if it’s not a bag we can all buy? It’s the shared values of Jolie and LV, says Pietro Beccari, Louis Vuitton Executive Vice President, Marketing and Communications. “We are honoured that Angelina Jolie agreed to participate in our Core Values campaign, whose central theme of travel as both a physical and emotional journey is one with which she can personally identify,” he said.
Close ties
“Angelina Jolie is a global star in every sense — not only in her career as an actress, but also in her long-term commitment to international humanitarian issues.”
Jolie has close ties to the South East Asian nation, having first travelled there in 2000 to film Lara Croft. Two years later, after a visit to the country as a United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees Goodwill Ambassador, raising awareness of the dangers of landmines, she adopted her first child, Maddox, who was living in a Cambodian orphanage at the time. She established the Maddox Jolie-Pitt Foundation in 2003. The company added that Jolie has donated her fees for the campaign to charity, which fashion insider rumour — unconfirmed by LV — says could be up to $10 million (Dh36.72 million).
Meanwhile, it’s not the only humanitarian work Jolie has been up to this week: Turkey says the star wants to visit Syrian refugees who have fled violence and are camped out on the Turkish side of the border. Foreign Ministry spokesman Selcuk Unal told AP that an application to visit the refugees has been made on behalf of the Hollywood celebrity and goodwill ambassador for the UN High Commissioner for Refugees, and is being assessed
Great for LV getting one person in this world that everyone wants a peace of they did a great job she looks beautiful as always.
Okay….I don’t care what they say….take a close up look on her face and u can see darker eye lids and upper eyes also perfect pink cheeks….I know what she looks pike without make up because I am a HUGE fan…they totally lied…she had make up on…I love angle and appreciate her humanitarian efforts but the company totally lied about this photo…and I’ve seen better photos of her modeling…
