Clive Rundle
I’ve been dying to see what the South African designers who went to Paris took along to show that discerning fashion crowd. Here’s Clive Rundle with his five mannequins dressed in some of the designs from his last collection. I gather he referred to his ladies as Marie Antoinette returning to Paris after attending a lesbian wedding in Africa!
Eight designers from Africa were hosted in Paris (Other South African designers showing were David Tlale, Lunar and Kluk CGDT. Nigerian designers MOMO, Eyola, Tiffany Amber, Jewel by Lisa also showcased, as well as Eric Raisina from Madagascar and Christie Brown from Ghana). One of the African designers is going to be selected to actually show their collection at Paris fashion week in September. Any suggestions who that may be?
