Copper shoes for 10 pounds!

Another great Sartorialist pic of two fashionable girls swapping shoes. We love these chunky heels and found the top ones on sale at Zoom for R230 and the bottom ones at Aldo for R595.

Look as stylish as Alessandra (pic courtesy of 'The Sartorialist') with a leather jacket. This one is on sale for R3200 (down from R4000) at Levi.
The sales have arrived and there are some great bargains out there. First off I hit the Habits website and they have some beautiful jewellery that has been reduced drastically! This stunning bracelet was R650 and is now R99. Check it out on www.habits.co.za
My new intern from Lisof, Maserati Motloung, went to Sandton and Eastgate and we’ll be posting some great style finds here later today. Have a great weekend of sale shopping and please send us news of your own bargain hunting.
Here’s my final post from the SIHH watch show in Switzerland. The lovely Jutte was our tour guide at the IWC Schaffhausen factory near Zurich and she was a study in Swiss German understated sophistication. Her entire uniform was from Ralph Lauren – beautiful and it looked so good on her. She was delighted that I wanted to feature a 50-something year old on my fashion blog!
Next up, some great sale shopping tips for the weekend.
Aspasia’s back on the blogosphere, naturally under the auspices of her new media home, Marie Claire. The MC blog has a little bit of everything, but plenty of Aspasia’s quirky musings on everything from shoes (of course!) to Brad Pitt’s beard! You’ll find it at www.marieclaire.co.za
Enjoy!
Diana looks after the marketing and PR side of things for Cartier in Geneva. She used to be a haute couture model and is absolutely stunning with legs that go on forever. She’s originally from Prague and one of those classically stylish and beautiful European girls who looks exquisite with minimal make-up. We went out for dinner that night and she didn’t have time to change. She simply put a little black cap on over her bob and some lip gloss and she looked sensational!

Day two of the 20th Salon Internationql de la Haute Horlogerie in Geneva and if this post is full of spelling mistqkes it`s because I am typing on a French keyboard – can you believe they took the trusty qwrty and moved the letters around? It,s driving me crazy!
The watches,on the other hand, are magnicent. In a nutshell: Bigger is best, pink gold with brown leather strap is huge – and when everyone gets over the big thing, then we are all going to be looking for the thinnest watch possible.
As much fun has been watching the visitor fashions. The European women always cover up in stylish winter black, the men look great, either in impeccable large check suits or in funky colourful trousers and trendy specs.
Am having some tech issues with the swiss computers. will try and post some pics later:
What a daunting task. After bravely launching The Frock Report with Aspasia all those years ago, I fired myself because I simply couldn’t get my head around the concept of blogging.
Now I’m ready and raring to seek out fabulous fashion for me and you – but how, oh how, to follow in those erudite and elegant shoes of the one and only Aspasia?!?!
I’ll start with some posh watches. When next you hear from me, I’ll be blogging from a freezing Geneva – I’m off to the SIHH which is an annual getting together of terribly posh watch brands like Cartier, etc, to tell youabout the latest goings on in that rarified world.
Wish me warmth!
