First the Ralph Lauren types etch away at the poor girls waist for an Asian campaign. Then they etch away at her confidence by firing her for forcing them to etch her away in the first place. Apparently Filipa is too fat . Yes, yes, nobody said the fashion industry was a bed of roses. In fact this is my favorite quote of the day from the Daily Beast’s Elizabeth Gates.
“Fashion isn’t about fairness. It isn’t about being polite, kind, sweet natured or well behaved. Fashion is vicious and cut throat—and if you really love it (and want to succeed) it can be downright maddening.
