After Elle New Talent those leaving the Sandton Convention Center were treated to a happening staged by performance artist Anthea Moys, who circled the street outside on horseback accompanied by a police escort.
According to Michael Smith’s profile of Moys for Artthrob, she shows “considerable interest in dismantling conventions of behaviour in public spaces, and also reveals an acute awareness of how humour and play can deflate the seriousness of politically-charged social space.”
It certainly made me laugh.
