FOOTBALL scandals and corruption in football at the moment aren’t just a local thing. EUFA has named five clubs it is to investigate for match-fixing scandals. They are KF Tirana, KS Vllaznia (both from Albania), FC Dinaburg (Latvia), NK IB Ljubljana (Slovenia) and Budapest Honved FC (Hungary).
UEFA will probe seven European club competition games involving the five clubs as part of its ongoing investigations into match-fixing.
The seven matches are all early qualifying round fixtures, one from the Champions League and six from the Europa League.
