The world’s favourite top model is a married woman. Her stylish celebrity wedding got drowned out by that other large affair in Monaco. Here is a photo of Kate with her man, Jamie Hince on one of their big days this weekend. She’s wearing a Galliano dress. Apparently the wedding was a three-day bash, in true Kate style.
I’ve just read some drivel with pictures to illustrate how,horror of horrors, drinking and smoking have spoilt and lined Kate Moss’ beautiful face. Tracking her ageing from when she was first spotted at Heathrow airport and from the time of this shoot for a bridal magazine (pic below) to now when the writer says she looks like a 47-year old woman, her hard partying is blamed. When in fact now she looks like a stylish woman, twenty years later, who has had a busy life including a few parties. Nothing wrong with that.
PS: If you missed the news, Kate will be marrying her long-term boyfriend, Jamie Hince on July 2. Mario Testino who knows how to capture a woman to perfection will be photographing the day. This after his recent assignment to photograph the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s wedding. According to the Telegraph he told the iPad newspaper The Daily, how he hopes to: “capture the happiness that Kate is going through at the moment.” This picture below is from the bridal shoot she did when she was 17. We know that she won’t be looking quite as smooth-skinned and ethereal as she did then. But whatever she chooses to wear, she’ll look her stylish, elegant, and funky self.
Kate Moss and her “nothing tastes as good as skinny feels” motto brought anorexia to the media’s attention last week. Moss was lambasted for being insensitive about girls and their eating disorders.
This story reminded me of the horror of my best friend in standard six fading away in our boarding house. She ate 3 peas a day when she was at her anorexic worst. Midyear she left boarding school when had to be hospitalised. Later she went home to be with her parents and attend a local school.
She wasn’t the only girl in our all-girls boarding house who was struggling with an eating disorder. Many of those young unhappy girls in a strange place were struggling to control their environment. And controlling what they ate was a way of making sense of their lives at that time. A devastating way.
So I was delighted to see today that Israeli fashion photographer Adi Barkan is releasing a campaign to promote anorexia awareness which demands that model agencies don’t hire models who are suffering from malnutrition.

In trouble for saying “Nothing tastes as good as skinny feels”
If you don’t know the British food critic Giles Coren for his food columns you might remember him for his marvelous angry letter to the sub editors of The Times of London. He was furious that the subs removed the indefinite article a from one of his stories. The fury may have been justified, and the letter is hilarious. Read More…
The British papers, especially the Daily Mail, are full of stories of bikini-clad women, burnt faces, and face works. How many more times must we see unflattering pictures of the beautiful Kate Moss? “How to get Putin’s pecs” tops my list of must-do British holiday reading.
In the US, Obama’s critics are being left to run wild with all kinds of deranged accusations and misinformation, mostly about the health care plans. Although I am sure a holiday is much deserved, perhaps he shouldn’t join the rich and famous in Martha’s Vineyard (paying more than $25 000 in weekly rent), and rather stay in Washington and temper the madness that is some of right-wing America.

Apparently Kate Moss may be pregnant: that’s according to the Sun. She’s apparently not drinking, wearing loose clothes and has called all her friends together for a gathering at her country home next week.
I am sure news will be out soon if Lila Grace will be getting a baby sister or brother.
