It’s very French this one. The rumours haven’t been confirmed yet, but according to Sky both President Sarkozy and his wife Carla Bruni are having extramarital affairs:

The rumours are swirling – on Twitter first, then blogs and now a French newspaper website – that both Carla and her president husband are having affairs.

The rumours go that she has fallen for a French musician while Sarkozy has sought solace in the arms of his ecology minister.

The newspaper, Le Journal du Dimanche, described it as “the gossip of the moment that could become the story of the year”
