Today the American journalist who has been jailed, on charges of spying for the US, for four months in Iran was freed – an appeals court suspended her eight-year prison sentence. Her parents had flown from the US a few weeks ago seeking their daughter’s freedom. Here they are, looking delighted with her imminent release.
