Make-shift ballot box: will my vote be counted?

Update: 8.30pm: Apparently my votes are safe. IEC chief electoral officer Pansy Tlakula, said this evening that recycled ballot boxes had been approved. 

I cast my votes today and put my ballots into what looked like an Omo cardboard box. Was this legal? Will the IEC accept this make-shift box? Will my votes be counted?

Here’s Madiba after casting his vote. Hope he didn’t have the same problem. Or rather, I hope it’s not a problem.
