In this morning’s edition of The Times, Justice Malala wrote in ‘Subservience breeds tyranny’, that we’re not asking enough questions of Kgalema Motlanthe, our new president.
Justice points out that ‘the job of the first president comes with considerable and significant social dutes’. So ’why isn’t anybody asking who our new first lady is?’ In my blog ‘Mrs Motlanthe, our first lady?’ I asked the same question.
It’s two weeks and a few days and we still don’t know who our first lady is. I have been told that there is one. But who is she? It’s all very mysterious.
We want to know. We should know.
