This last week we’ve watched the Democrats put their best feet forward at the convention in Denver, US. The speeches were moving, passionate, brought my husband to tears and hopefully will help bring the Democrats to power.

Much of the content of the speeches was about family values. References to education and children abound. And most of the main speakers referred to their own children. Some of them (Hillary Clinton, Michelle and Barack Obama, Joe Biden) even brought their children onto the stage.

Politics is about family. But should the personal families of politicians be brought into their work? Obama’s life has been threatened. Bringing his children on stage could endanger their lives too.

Also, we know it was done for the media. The pictures are cute and lovely, and I am sure did good work for the polls. But isn’t this just too expedient? Or just sentimental?

PS: Looking forward to seeing what John McCain and Sarah Palin will do with their 9 children at the Republican convention next week.

Obama screwd up

August 30, 2008 at 2:38 pm

DEMOCRATES GOT THIS SO WRONG THIS ELECTION YEAR!
Obama, Pelosi and Dean are why we changed our party affiliation to “ Independent” When all the benefits are with the Democrats this election, they selected the wrong candidate by a mile, next Obama’s selection of Biden who got 9000 votes in primaries compared to Hillary’s 18 million, gained him no “bounce” in the polls. Infact it underlines his inexperienced to lead and make a decision based on whats best for the country and not just for himself and Michelle. What would Clinton of added to the ticket? Apparently a WIN. If Clinton were at the top of the ticket, polls now show she would be leading McCain by eight pts even after almost 3 months after ending her campaign. Clinton herself now enjoys 87 percent approval ratings among Democrats, Gallup reported, and three out of four Democrats would like to see her as president and be a major-party spokeswoman over the next four years. Clinton’s supporters lukewarm in their support for Obama mainly because of the sexist way his camp treated Senator and President Clinton. David Axelrod said Obama doesn’t need her supporters, then why are they begging for them now? he continues to fall in the polls daily. He got an average 2pt bump in polls after DNC convention when history shows most get 10-15pt bump.

SIMPLY, “BUYERS REMORSE”

Tabloid Cable media especially CNN ( Obama hired help)& MSNBC has frankly put the security of our great country at risk with an Obama coronation. It’s extremely concerning that so many Americans could care less about who their candidate really is?? He’s ½ black, lets make it happen???? Simply amazing and frankly scary.

Obama has shown this entire season he can be pushed and told exactly what to do just what we can’t have in the White House and remember grandma; he will throw anyone under a buss if it helps politically so; WATCH OUT MICHELLE!

I am a diehard Hillary Rodham Clinton voter.

Barack Hussein Obama was wrong for not having Hillary Rodham Clinton for Vice President. Even worst, Barack Hussein Obama the only thing that Obama has made sure to give Hillary Rodham Clinton has been LOTS of disrespect. Out of
Barack Hussein Obama own mouth Obama stated “Hillary Rodham Clinton would be on anyone’s short list for Vice President.” Then, Barack Hussein Obama NEVER contacted Hillary Rodham Clinton as Vice President.

SHAME ON BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA. Hillary Rodham Clinton made Barack Hussein Obama what Obama is today because Obama does NOT have any experience ane Obama is not committed to America. Barack Hussein Obama is all for Barack Hussein Obama….plane and simple.

Wonder why Barack Hussein Obama did not have Hillary Rodham Clinton as Vice President—was it because of Michelle Obama…does Michelle Obama call the shots.

The old saying — What goes around comes around is very true. Barack Hussein Obama needs to learn a great social manner — respect….something that Obama never gave Hillary Rodham Clinton. In fact, Obama never gave the entire Clinton family any respect.

ENOUGH OF BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA.
ENOUGH OF MICHELLE OBAMA.
ENOUGH OF REV. WRIGHT.
ENOUGH OF REZKO.
ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!!!!

AMERICA DESERVES MORE THAN WHAT OBAMA HAS TO GIVE. AMERICA DESERVES “CHANGE” AND “COMMITMENT FOR AMERICA” THAT CAN BE FOUND IN JOHN MCCAIN AND SARAH PALIN.

Sarah Palin has the fighting and hard working ethics that found in Hillary Rodham Clinton.

Sarah Palin has the commitment for America that is found in Hillary Rodham Clinton.

Sarah Palin has the drive to take on whoever to get America Back on Track that is found in Hillary Rodham Clinton.

With all that said, John McCain also knew that that is why McCain has Sarah Palin Vice President.

It is great that Sarah Palin is a female but Sarah Palin is a very hard work, honest, and ready to work for America.
(Palin is well aware of the gas situation…..Palin been there done that.)

GO—-JOHN MCCAIN / SARAH PALIN
GO—-JOHN MCCAIN / SARAH PALIN

“HOPE” that all Hillary Rodham Clinton voters — vote John McCain – Sarah Palin…..the only ticket that is committed to America “CHANGE” “HOPE” and moving America forward.

Hey “Obama screwed up”…you got a problem with the “1/2 black” part? Cuz frankly I don’t care if he’s half blue, half chinese, half hairy ape, as long as he has sound policies and the judgement to get the job done.

And also, how is our country’s security at risk by electing Obama? Is there a contract out on Obama’s head in Tehran or something? Do tell.

ps… Blondshag, why wouldn’t Michelle Obama want her husband to pick Hilary? That makes no sense. I mean, I sure hope he listens to her opinions whatever they are. She’s his wife, for Chrissakes.

hey…i dont agree wiht your comment..how many presidents have chosen their rivaries as Vice Presidents in the last decades..Bush didnt chosen John Mccain, from what i remember..you need someone that doesnt have the same weaknesses and strengths as the you do..a ‘vice’should have the excellent policy making and administration; JOE BIDEN has those qaulities..people like you would undermine the Barack’s power as the president had he chosen Hillary Clinton that would have been a disaster..give hima chance!!!

Well, I certainly agree that Obama should have chosen Hillary (and the best ticket would have been Clinton/Obama, not the other way around), and I certainly agree that many of Obama’s supporters banded together to trash the Clinton’s right down the Republican Rove playbook, thinking it was the best way to get their candidate elected. BUT, the answer is NOT to vote for McCain and Palin! They are the furthest possible from everything the Clintons stand for. They will get a Supreme Court in power that will take away women’s rights for the next 50 years! Do NOT cut off your nose just to spite your face. It’s a cliche, and it’s true. Suck it up, as the Clintons are doing, and vote for Obama. Biden was the best second choice. Then get ready to elect Hillary Clinton on the next round. Women age less than men — I’m still going strong and running a business at 72 — and Hillary will still be fine in 4 years or even 8 years. Or maybe she’ll end up on the Supreme Court. That would be a lifetime appointment of great honor and importance.

I thought Obama was a moron then, and I think he’s an even bigger moron now. McCain made an a–out of him that is for sure. The man needs to grow some kahunas if ya know what I mean. The wise choice would have been Hillary, and that was obvious to me from the time she dropped out. She is going to be the first woman president. Bet on it.
