Manny Pacquiao v Bruce Lee? Talk to the hand
The comparison between Manny Pacquiao and Bruce Lee has sparked much debate.
One reader sent in urls for two YouTube clips showing both men working out on punch bags.
They’re interesting to watch, although I’m not convinced it’s fair to compare the two men based on this footage – Pacquiao’s balance is better in my opinion, but I have an eye for boxing, not martial arts.
Check them out for yourself and then vote in the poll below!
1.Bruce Lee
2.Manny Pacquiao

There is no comparison at all. Bruce lee’s move are scripted, fantasy and illusion only. Manny Pacquiao boxing spar, moves etc are real.
Cant really compare using such footage. You would have to know what bruce lee was trying to achive in this particular clip. It just looks like hes doing it in a non-serious manner. Dont forget bruce was an inovator, and experimenter.
There better rare footage of bruce lee sparring on youtube. Bruce lees timing, power and balance were incredible.
the guy who made the video is high, bruce lee, just like any MMA fighter (not just boxing) take in the rules of whoever is sanctioning the fight (boxing or whatever) and train for it. Remember bruce doesnt just punch, he uses everything, but if he focus on punches for a fight he knew in advanced about, training would be severely different.
Bruce is all-around Martial Artist. not just boxing.
(Bruce lee actually once hong kong boxing championship. wiki it)
Manny’s is scorer in his rank!! only in boxing.
(World Champ no doubt about it!!)
But my POV i go for Bruce because he is water.
water can float and crash. water can be in cup or dam.

November 18, 2009 at 5:45 amI think the objective of both fighters is different. Manny’s is to score points first, distract the opponent and then go in for the big one. For Bruce, I think every single punch was intended to cut the opponent down. Look at the target he punches.
