According to Freddie Roach, the money's still safe in his hands

According to news reports, trainer Freddie Roach has offered sparring partners $1,000 to knock Manny Pacquiao down in training.

Roach points out, of course, that he hasn’t had to pay any money over yet!

I wonder if he will offer Pacquiao’s November 14 opponent, Miguel Cotto, the same incentive!

So far no one has ever come close to downing the Pacman. In fact, it is the other way around. Manny, as per reports, has mauled all his sparring partners, even downing Jr. Middleweight Shawn Porter. I wouldn’t be surprised at all if dirty fighter and slowpoke Cotto get KOed before the 3rd rnd.
