Mikey Schultz, an alleged, real-life hitman, will fight on the same bill as Cassius 'Hitman' Baloyi
Cassius “Hitman” Baloyi returns to the ring in Johannesburg on Friday night – and he’ll share the bill with an alleged, real-life hitman known as Mikey Schultz.
Baloyi, who lost his IBF junior-lightweight crown to Malcolm Klassen in April, takes on Argentina’s Roberto Arrieta in an eliminator for that same title, now held by Robert Guerrero. Arrieta has been to South Africa before, losing on points to Mzonke Fana in 2006.
On the undercard unbeaten Schultz takes on Samuel Mathebula in a super-middleweight showdown scheduled for six rounds.
Schultz, who is likely to enjoy much vociferous support at ringside, was allegedly involved in the killing of mining magnate Brett Kebble.
As a boxer, Schultz has a record of 13 wins and two draws. Friday will be his second comeback bout after a break of 11 years.
