COSATU’S Zwelinzima Vavi, now fully recovered from his zombie-state as a supporter of the “unstoppable tsunami” under President Jacob Zuma, has raked the ruling party with fire over the emergence of a growing crony state.
“The new tendency is trying hard to take us back to the politics of labelling, back-stabbing, rumour and scandal mongering, marginalisation and the closure of state for free and democratic debate,” he said.
Back-stabbing? It’s tempting to ask if he has removed the knife that he sunk to the hilt in the back of Thabo Mbeki while on the road to Polokwane.
But Vavi is nonetheless correct to point at the crony state as a major threat.
More from the press conference: “The stories of the recent weeks beg the question as to whether our stance that public representatives should not be involved in business because of inherent contradictions of interests should not be extended to all leaders of political formations.”
He talked of a “small right wing tendency” which was silencing ANC leaders while supporting the link between enrichment and politics.

I think this administration was delivered to us by COSATO and the SACP with a more than 5 years guarantee promise, I also think they still got the means and power to fix it.
One by one they slowly wake from their zombie-like state…what a bunch of Neanderthals we have in this rainbow nation of ours.
