screen-captureTHE travails of Tiger Woods are continuing as every day brings a new mistress to the world’s attention.
It might take the combined talents of Lou Bega and Julio Iglesias to write the script for this one should it ever be considered for Broadway.
While the goings on in the Woods household have become global news, there are those who wonder aloud why his infidelity should be the subject of such public scrutiny.
Woods himself has appealed for privacy, and it is worth reading once more what he said: “I am dealing with my behavior and personal failings behind closed doors with my family. Those feelings should be shared by us alone.
“Although I am a well-known person and have made my career as a professional athlete, I have been dismayed to realize the full extent of what tabloid scrutiny really means. For the last week, my family and I have been hounded to expose intimate details of our personal lives.”
The immediate problem with this is that Woods is a public personality. Not only that, he has chosen to live his “private” life in public, releasing pictures of his new born children to the media and using his marriage to bolster his ratings.
Now that his projection of an image of family bliss has been destroyed by his own actions, he is appealing for privacy.
There are, of course, some things that do not belong in the public domain such as the private discussions Woods has with his wife to try and heal their marriage. And his children ought to be kept out of this.
But the failings of a public figure, particularly one who actively projected himself as a family man, belong in the public domain.
For one thing it teaches the public to approach the image of public figures with skepticism. For another, it teaches public figures the lesson that the truth will eventually triumph.

Tiger has long held himself out to be a “boring” guy. Anyone as famous as he is has to know that this kind of behavior is fair game. If he’d behaved himself and don’t proven himself to be a pig among pigs, he’d still have his beloved privacy. He’s a arrogant jerk. You can’t have it both ways.

Correct,

Therefore, when Manto and her wayward liver are acting up again, it is fully a public and open occurrence for all and sundry to comment and speculate. The ANC is still to learn the they and their public faces are servants of the people and not gods with special rights.

This is completely wrong. Tiger doesn’t deserve any of this scrutiny. All of you people are just doing these ridiculous articles for your own selfish reasons to make money. SHUT UP

Now he wants his privacy, after taking huge cash off his false image. HE also said the media scrutiny was hurting his family. I thought his cheated did that. If wanted George Clooney’s lifestyle, perhaps remaining single would have been advised.

As a woman who went through this in her late 20′s I can really have compassion for that woman, especially knowing her supposed husband was doing these things while she was pregnant, which of course doesn’t make a difference but the real question from her will be “Did we ever have a real marriage”?? What a joke. GO ELIN!! TAKE HIM FOR ALL HE’S WORTH NOW. I WILL TELL YOU FIRST HAND……THE MARRIAGE WILL NEVER PULL THROUGH THIS. GOOD FOR YOU GIRL. AT LEAST YOU PICKED SOMEONE WITH SOME CASH!!!!!!! HAVE FUN SPENDING!!!!!!!!

Assuming the reports are true, the Tiger is quite a guy. Running from chick to chick like a farmyard rooster, smashing golf records along the way, nogal. Whatever concoction he takes for stamina, he should bottle it.
