THE Acting head of prosecutions, Mokotedi Mpshe, who declined to prosecute President Jacob Zuma on the eve of the election is going a little too far.
He now argues that a judicial review of his decision should not go ahead because it wouldforce the state to expose the “full record” behind the decision to withdraw charges, according to The Star.
What is puzzling is why Mpshe finds it necessary to defend Zuma’s privacy. What does Zuma himself say? Does Zuma not have enough lawyers on his books who could act for him in such a matter?
That’s why Mpshe is still “acting” boss of the NPA. One wrong move and he will bite the dust.
