THE results are in and the ANC has won a majority with Cope coming in second and the DA third.
Votes cast by 45 000 readers of The Times online and by SMS gave the ANC a 54% majority.
Cope received 23% of the vote and the DA 15.5 %.
The online poll — which is heavily skewed to urban areas suggests the ANC may achieve an overwhelming majority following today’s general election.
It also shows surprisingly high support for Cope as opposed to the DA among those with Internet connections and those willing to vote by cell phone SMS.

Ray, you are arrogantly dishonest. It has been pointed out to you several times that this poll was bullshit.

Out of 24000 votes for the ANC over 60 days plus of voting, the ANC recieved 17thousand votes in a single day, BEFORE you fixed the loophole that allowed multiple votes. Prior and after to this single day event, the ANC got an average of 100 votes per day.

Stop peddling the same frot and discredited story.

The lack of blocking of multiple votes irritates me on SAFM and SABC as well.

But what irritates me most is the choice of only “yes” or “no”.

Say the question is do you like your eggs soft boiled. Say of 100 people 30 vote yes and 20 vote no, and 50, who can’t vote, dont care.

The poll result shows that the majority, 60%, like soft boiled eaggs; when the true result is that the majority, 50%, don’t care.

Larry – you are arrogantly dishonest. It has been pointed out to you several times that this poll is a true reflection of unique SMS numbers and IP addresses. If the ANC mobilised SMSes for its cause, who are we to exclude these from a poll? We did in fact detect a problem (relating to the DA’s numbers) and solved the problem.

Lyndall – this was not a “yes” or “no” poll, so what are you on about?

Ray

You have done it again. You need a 4th catagory – what if we are going to do all 3 on election day – vote, braai and watch the cricket?

South Africa has a new President ,Jacob Zuma.

Zille has failed so much that she is still campaining on the day of election…

I say by end of the day ANC-72% Cope-17% DA-9% and rest of the parties to fight over whats left.

Ray, if you recall my pointing out to you that I managed to vote several times for more than one party on your poll from the same IP address, in order to prove that it was bullshit.
This was done on the day that the ANC drove their numbers from 800 to 13000.
You only fixed your loophole a day or so later.

I dont do sms but I have several mobile phones lying about the house.

I have no problem with what you poll reflects, considering such a low poll for the ANC, but please dont pass your efforts off as free and fair.

Oh, and since you are in attendance, please fix this blogsite as well so that we do not waste our time having our posts not uploading every now and then.
Several of us are complaining about this and I am sure many others have given up, and are blogging elsewhere..

If you dont fix it, I will wreck it, properly. Dont mess with my hobby.

Hi there Eli

I’m sure you’re aware that the ANC is not far from the 2 3rds. With 2 millions votes counted the ANC seat at 62.* %

I’m suprised Cope is loosing against the DA, let see how things unfolds ….

What makes you think that there is anything that you know that the whole of the country does not know? The only things that you might know is if you are in the employ of the ANC’s “intelligence” services and have access to their dirty tricks agenda that you would have to keep under wraps.
