Now that the elecricity regulator has put the cost of this year’s power blackouts at R50bn, you would think the minister to blame for the biggest balls-up in post-apartheid South Africa would have something to say. At time of writing this, he was silent.
Anyway, here’s our memorable front page on which he made the statement: “The growth of South Africa’s economy at the current healthy levels can continue”.
