THIS is truly unbelievable: Morgan Tsvangirai has been arrested at Harare International airport. This after several days of negotiation with Robert Mugabe about a compromise dispensation for Zimbabwe. What this proves is that Mugabe is a seriously delinquent nutter who cannot be trusted to tie his own shoelaces without stabbing himself in the back. If you know what I mean. An extract from our story:

MDC leader Morgan Tsvangirai has been prevented from travelling to Johannesburg to attend a Southern African Development Community summit.
Tsvangirai’s spokesman George Sibotshiwe said the MDC president, party secretary-general Tendai Biti and international relations head Eliphas Mukonoweshuro were briefly detained at Harare International Airport and their travel documents were confiscated.
“The three were part of the MDC delegation that was going to South Africa for the SADC summit to be held this weekend,” Sibotshiwe said.
An MDC statement said the three were stopped by operatives of the Central Intelligence Organisation (CIO) who said their names were “on the list.”
“They did not reveal what so-called list was about,” said the MDC.
Sibotshiwe said the Zimbabwean state’s action showed “that the regime is not sincere on the dialogue process.”
He said the action was an “affront to SADC, to the AU and to the broader international community who are working hard to peacefully resolve Zimbabwe’s crisis.”
Sibotshiwe said they had asked president Thabo Mbeki and SADC to intervene.
The MDC leaders are still at the airport waiting to hear if they will be allowed to leave for South Africa.

Don’t undermine Mugabe’s intelligence. Though I condenm his arrest, Tsvingarai is not an honest negotiator because of his ties with the west.

The interest shown by west to Zim only leaves much to be desired. There many countries with internal strife, but west is turning a blind eye.

Sorry I don’t trust them!!

What I know is that Zim intelligence is very good.
Ask Simon Mann and Mark Thatcher. Unfortunately intelligence matters are not discussed in public. Otherwise Hartely and/SAPA would have furnished the reasons

Dingaan: Its amazing how some confuse intelligence with brute cunning.

The aborted coup plot in Guinea was the worst kept secret of all time. CIA, MI5, Thabo Mbeki and even the NIA knew about or were complicit in its execution. Mugabe just did the thug bovver boy locum for Thabo who didn’t want suckered mercenaries Mann and Thatchers blood on his hands.

Its amazing how everone has been singing the praises of Mbeki for the success of his quiet doplomacy, when all along Mad Bob has been playing everyone like puppets. If MDC give Mugabe any power in a national unity Govt, they’ll land up like Josh Nkomo and 10000 Zapu followers – a great big bloodstain in the Matebeleland veld.

Some people are so evil and devious, you just cannot negotiate with them.

You remind me of the ‘evil and devious’ apartheid criminals. I agree with you.

Billy why is west so interest in Zim politics only? Are they good hearted or something?

Yeah I sympathise with bro Tsvingarai his leanings on west vampires makes me thinks.

West Mugabe = Evil. I blame them both!

Perhaps the West is so interested in Zimbabwe because it is the West who would have to supply food aid and humanitarian relief to the millions of ordinary Zimbabweans whose means of basic survival is under threat of destruction.

Refugee crisis unfolds and neighboring countries are destabilised. Larger conflagrations like the DRC war result.

The West acts from basic caring and decency, and because they can see what Mugabe’s game is. Some love Mugabe just because he opposes the Wests disgust in him. No other reason. There is no oil in Zimbabwe.
