THIS just in from the wires:

PRETORIA, Jan 11 (Reuters) — South Africa’s prosecuting authority will charge national police chief Jackie Selebi with corruption, a spokesman said on Friday.
“A decision has been made, he will be charged with corruption and defeating the ends of justice,” said Tlali Tlali, spokesman for the National Prosecuting Authority.
An indictment will be served on Selebi shortly, Talk Radio 702 reported earlier.
Selebi, whose legal team went to court on Friday in a bid to prevent his prosecution, has denied any wrongdoing.
