The 82nd Annual Academy Awards
Okay, so i guessed 4 out of 8 nominations going to ‘District 9′.
I think the best shot it’s got is at Editing or Screenplay.
But unfortunately, I don’t think it will win neither of them.
‘The Hurt Locker’ has recently won The Directors & Producers Guild Awards, as well as most of the critics choice awards.
This is usually the way it goes.
However, in the past, it has gone other ways.

I still feel that “Avatar” is going to clean up!
I usually bet on the Oscars.
2 years ago, I cleaned up! Last year, Sean Penn “Milk”, screwed me! I was convinced Mickey Rourke “The Wrestler” would win!
My predictions are:
Best Film: “Avatar”. Not only is a cinematic masterpiece, but it’s also the biggest grossing film of all time! It’s already on over $2 Billion.
Best Director: James Cameron: “Avatar”. It’s a tough between him & ex wife, Katherine Bigelow, “The Hurt Locker”. Cameron however has created something that no other filmmaker has ever achieved, but… the award will go to Bigelow for ‘The Hurt Locker’
Best Actor: Jeff Bridges “Crazy heart” (100%!). He has recently won The Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild. It’s pretty much a locked deal there!
Best Actress: Although Sandra Bullock “The Blind Side”, has cleaned up everywhere, I felt her performance was OVER RATED. My gutfeel is that it’s going to go to Meryl Streep for “Julie and Julia”! Why, because she’s only won twice, after being nominated something like 15 times. The Academy owes it to her. But, Gabby Sidibe “Precious” might cause an upset!
Best Supporting Actor: Christof Waltz “Inglorious Basterds” (100%!). Not only was he genius in the film, but he has won every award. He spoke ± 5 languages & in true Tarantino fashion, he over delivered in a supporting role. The odds on him winning are insane.
Best Supporting Actress: Mo’nique “Precious”. Without a doubt!
Best Original Screenplay: Inglorious Basterds
Best Adapted Screenplay: “Up in the air”
Best Editing: very tough 1! I would love to say :”D9″, but I feel “The Hurt Locker” has it LOCKED!
Best Animated Feature: “UP”. No question!
Best Visual Effects: “Avatar”. No question!
Best Cinematography: “The Hurt Locker”. Although ‘The White Ribbon’ won the ASC award & ‘Avatar’ was visually insane, ‘Hurt Locker’ is a cinematographers dream job!
Best Music score: “Up”
Best Song: “The weary Kind” from “Crazy heart”
Best Costume Design:’The Young Victoria’
Best Art Direction: Either: “Avatar”
Best Sound Editing: “Avatar”
Best Sound Mixing: “The Hurt Locker”
Best Foreign film: “The White Ribbon”
