Normally I agree with PZ Myers, but on the issue of “gaming culture” – I can’t really comfortably side with him all the way. The issue at heart is this: Is “gaming culture” dominated by sexist douches?
Sony has taken PSN down for the last five days basically because of an “external intrusion” into it, leading a whole load of gamers feeling a mite bit annoyed.
Sony is currently suing a pair of hackers for figuring out how to jailbreak PS3s - a move which has gotten anonymous to declare web-war.
I only started reviewing games seriously near the end of the year – complete with a reviewing scale that assigned a two to console games that are so buggy that they can become unplayable.
It combines some of my favourite things in life – computer games, reading good books and complaining. It is the perfect job really.
