Apparently the ANC, which has proclaimed it is going to rule until Jesus comes back in 2009, is going to lose this coming local election.

Jesus is apparently coming to start the end of the world on Saturday.

I was expecting it more on Thursday as the universe’s disgusted reaction to me reciting my poetry before a poor, innocent audience, but eh, he’s supposed to be a good guy so a pre-emptive strike is to be expected.

I would be mildly concerned – but then I fully expect to be enjoying doing my job on May 23rd, which will include trying to get ahold of FamilyRadio.com (Because we all know how the enternal braai of the souls of sinners is family friendly fair) and asking just why Jesus can’t keep to a schedule.
