Recently there has been a bit of a stir on Youtube around Thunderf00t’s videos essentially saying that he doesn’t really feel much sympathy for a religion that practices intolerance, talking about how important tolerance is.

Thunderf00t’s vids in this case were boilerplate. You didn’t really learn anything from them, and the basic message falls apart when you consider the following:

Does a torturer lose the right to complain about being tortured?

I would say no, the torturer does not. Our objection to bad behavior does not rest on the behavior of the victim.

If the only people who could point out bad things happening were those blameless of doing bad things, people would never moan, and there would be a lot more to moan about.

That is without even getting into the mess of the idea that because all of Islam prays towards Mecca, all Muslims therefore approve of Mecca’s policies.
