The other day I hit on what actual studies have to say about porn and violence – that if anything the relationship is the opposite of what you would expect.

The same goes for conservative values and rape. The weird thing is while we are trying to bring back traditions and cultural identities, this might drag us in the exact opposite direction to where we want to end up.

Counter-intuitive as this all seems to be, maybe we shouldn’t be defending things for being our culture. Maybe we need less moral regeneration, in order to create a moral society.

It sort of fits when you think about it. We have been trying to build up our cultural traditions for about as long as I can remember – and pretty much failing as human beings.

Instead of seeing our society becoming mutually respectful, we have seen rape shoot through the roof and muti murders making a comeback.

The moral fibre of our people is lacking across the board and across the board, our attempts to improve on it by using culture have failed. It is time we tried something else.

Maybe instead of trying to regenerate a time that never was, we should grow towards the future that could be.
