After a long break Zadie Smith is back. Only it’s not a novel this time around for the author most well remembered for her debut White Teeth. It’s a collection of essays called Changing My Mind. You can read one of them in which she writes  about the rise of the essay and the unique ability of great essay writers on the Guardian website. Is Zadie the next Joan Didion? We’ll have to wait and see next month when the book arrives in South Africa.
