She was reportedly paid an advance of $7 million to write it and if the first day sales of Sarah Palin’s Going Rogue are anything to go by – Harper Collins are not regretting it. With sales of 300 000 copies on its first day in the US, an initial print run of 1.5million and an extra 300 000 copies about to be printed the gun-toting, polar bear shooting crazy woman with an embarrassing grasp of geography is sitting in the pound seats. Only Bill Clinton’s 2004 memoir My Life sold more in a 24 hour period – 400 000 copies. It remains to be seen how well the book will travel but if you’re thinking of buying it have a read of some highlights over at The First Post.
