It’s that time of the year again. Entries are now open for next year’s Sunday Times Literary Awards. Titles should have been published between December 1 2009 and December 1 2010.
The Alan Paton Award for Non-Fiction: “Any full-length non-fiction work relating to Southern Africa and published between December 1 2008 and December 1, 2009 and written by a South African citizen – at home or abroad – or someone who has been resident in South Africa for more than three years is eligible for the prize.” Last years winner: In a Different Time by Peter Harris published by Umuzi.
The Sunday Times Fiction Prize: : “Any full-length novel published between December 1 2008 and December 1, 2009 and written by a South African citizen – at home or abroad – or someone who has been resident in South Africa for more than three years is eligible for the prize.”Last year’s winner: The Rowing Lesson by Anne Landsman published by Kwela
All works must be written in English and self-published titles are not eligible.
Entries close on December 9 2009.
