Michelle Obama Monkey Offensive Image on Google Results

According to Post Chronicles writer Mike Baron, search engine Google is currently buying adverts online to explain why offensive pictures (Michelle Obama monkey photo, etc.) of the First Lady is back in its image index.

The images which show a crudely altered photo of the first lady and it resembles a monkey.

“Not only does it show up, it’s been in the top row of Google Image search results, indicating a superior ranking. Interestingly, the same Michelle Obama picture had been taken down by Google in the recent past because it violated its TOS guidelines,” wrote Baron.

On the first result itself is a racist and offensive image of president of the United State’s Barack Obama’s wife, Michelle Obama deformed in a monkey like photo. The fact that this picture is appearing on Google’s search results is creating the e-havoc. In fact, there was a similar picture on the results some time ago and it was removed by Google (details here) after receiving complaints.

However soon after removing that other similar picture from the results, there were new ones appearing again. This time Google has refused to remove it saying that the site hosting the image is in no way contradicting its TOS. (Visual Defamation?)

What is your take on this issue?

i think it is ridiculous that you can say all of this stuff.
if you knew anything you would know that african americans have been assosciated with apes since muhammad ali teased his opponet because he thought he would lose. and it was a racist thing when he did it, even though he was black. it was possible. and me at thirteen, to know that, and you in your twenties and thirties to look at this and say, “its only racism because she’s black” youre not as smart as you think and you should go back to school. im not trying to justify the people that made the pictures of bush and sarah palin either. they shouldve been taken down too. but this is a bigger deal, because although this country is suposed to be free of racism and all of that good stuff, its not. it exists, and its one of the biggest problems in the united states. this needs to be taken off the internet. and then, it shouldnt be an issue. period.

So if bush is made to look as an ape is not racism but if it is michelle then it is, why is that? maybe because its true that she resembles an ape? i have seen people of all races that resemble apes, but when a black person does the alarms sound. People should wake up and realize our world is being re shaped by a global conspiracy to impose artificial peace and harmony on the world at the cost of free will and spiritual slavery. wake the f up.

Look, I don’t get worked up if some idiot is spreading misinformation about the sexes, races or religion. I’d be more worried if they were targeting the more intelligent people of our country with a seemingly logical argument against whomever they have a grudge against. This is like getting pissed of at some little kid bc he says Michelle’s hair is green. Obviously it isn’t and obviously this person is immature and expresses themselves in an immature way.

I think this is so stupid!!! Not to mention how dumb it is to have this much media attention. There are always going to be idiots in the world- please do not give them the attention they are seeking!

I think we are violating our freedom of expression, are the Obamas the only presidential family that cannonttake their opposer insults? Every president in this country and sometimes their first lady has been mocked, they did it with Sarah Palins and her sick baby , who i feel deserves more respect than Obama and his herd. Pleassssse , Freedom in America, Give me a break!

enough from the blacks with their racism **** and slavery, that was years ago, we are being victims of whitetism, always afraid to say something in a conversation with a black person from fear they might take things personal, Michelle s black and if they associate the monkey with blacks it is bacause thay look like them, it could be a black butterfly, a black horse, etc…

I don’t care who it is, I think this is racist! I happen to be a white woman and do not think that we should be displaying this of the United States of America First Lady. Why do you feel you have to look down on her…did she do anything to us? I know there are people out there that have so much time on their hands (not working and could, generation welfare) but we need to as a nation to stand up and get rid of racism in our country! We are not to judge that is for God to do. Who is next…Our founding fathers or the Pope! Come on people wake up…this is a country we should be proud of and if you aren’t proud their are other countries to go too! When your child or grandchild comes home from school crying about something another said about her, remember we are teaching our kids this behavior. That is all I have to say..

So why is google apologizing? They didn’t do anything wrong, the search engine itself is not a sentient life form, it simply categories results based on popularity, and would people shut up about the racism angle, its Michelle Obama as a monkey, anyone who thinks it is racist is clearly racist themselves, since the first thing they think of is that she is black.

It’s always interesting to read/hear of the comments people make about others who are not like them…what COWARDS! You hide behind screen names and blogging sites to vent your vulgarities. Who are you? What do you look like? How do you justify you being and looking the way you look?

I was probably Jesse Jackson who first posted the picture of Michelle. He probably figured if he couldn’t cut Obama’s ^%$& off, the next best thing would be to mock Michelle. Have you noticed where more blacks use the N-word in music, stand up comedy, etc., than whites would ever think to do? If you want to find out why blacks are still down, look no further than your blind subservience to the Democratic party.

Every time I read the “comments”

I would love to see the picture! I am tired of the double-standard in this country, she is arrogant, and I feel she is very ugly both inside, and out!

really?

November 28, 2009 at 6:03 am

im so sick of everyone trying not to offend the Obamas or blacks in general. Everything a white person does is racist but when a black person does or says something it’s not. So if no one screamed racism when the pics of Bush went up then why are they now? People are people, forget color… it always comes down to color in the country. unbelievable. Presidential satire has been around for hundreds of years, it comes with the territory live with it….

I can search ‘george bush monkey’ in google or bing and immediately see videos and pics that say ‘what fun’. Why isn’t it racist to portray George Bush as a monkey? – I certainly agree that it is improper, stupid, and yes – racist to do this to Michelle Obama. ;

November 30, 2009 at 2:26 pm

HHHMMMM I recall George Bush being compared to a Chimp … and guess what, no one cried racism or unfair. I think the Obama’s, like all politicians, are the bottom of the barrel when it comes to intellect and class, those that blindly support these people without objectively evaluating the situation don’t even make it in the barrel. The great thing about America is not everyone has to agree. Personnally, I think she looks more like a Gorilla than a Monkey.

Andrew, I agree with you 100% But you know, every single president and celebrity have been made fun of, no joke! Do you see them making such a big fuss over it?? No, she needs to get used to it now because it will continue to happen for the next three years!d55

Michelle is first a beautiful, intelligent women. She stands out amongst the international leaders wives throughout the world.

She is an emblem for family values in a country where is is the norm to be shallow, and and worthless, unlss you have a large bank balance.

Thank God fo the Change.

Today America can be looked upon with some respect – due to it’s leaders.

Just read the older comments. I did not realise that so many americans felt so low within themselves.

Racisim exists, but evidence suggests those with little self worth attack people of colour, without cause.

Michelle’s intellect will no doubt over-ride these comment. The English normally look at Americans as our brothers. Absoluly shame on this brother.

For the people who argue against this, people of races have been fooling around with these types of pictures. I bet more white people put their face into a monkey picture simply because there are probably more whites with computer access. So quit your bitching, because her and Obama are monkeys anyway.

Give the “racist” bullshit a rest! Blacks run around calling each other niggas and acting the part of niggers. They claim oppression still, blame me (as a white man) for all their problems, call me honky and cracker, and then scream racism at the first sign of tension thats not favoring them.

Modern day KKK. Hiding behind a computer instead of a white sheet. We need God so badly.I sure hope God is not a monkey, ape etc. The bible says let us (Jesus) make man in our image. Refering to human beings. Please don’t tell me you haters believe in God.
